    SS officer

Hello all, this might be a bit of an odd posting but please just bear with me. I'm not sure if anyone outside of my home state of Wisconsin had heard about this but an older fellow, retired farmer, in south central Wisconsin has set up a museum dedicated to Hilter and the Thrid Reich. He supposedly was an officer in the Waffen-SS and served in russia then after the war, came to the US in the mid-50's. The local papers interviewed him and he said he volunteered in 1940 and became an officer.
His name is Ted Juncker or Junckers. Could anyone with access to SS research material take a look and see if there is any info on the man.
If any one is interested in the article let me know and I'll see if I can scan it and post it. It sounds like he is still a big Hitler believer, but regardless of his politicl views, talking with vets is the best part of the hobby.
    thanks guys

The story was in the national press last week and mentioned in the newpapers and on television (CNN, Fox. etc.). There is a lengthy thread on it over in the Lounge on Axis History Forum. You may find something there as to his authenticity.
