Please Help: Where is Hültenhausen, and Sdl.Ladogasee?

I have information from the War Graves Commision that indicates my relative was born in Hültenhausen, and died in Sdl.Ladogasee (Russia?). Can anyone tell me where the two locations are?? I have googled to no avail.

I don't know what you tried with google but it worked fine for me. Looks like Hültenhausen is now called Hultehouse, it's to the West of Strasbourg. Place names in areas that have changed country ownership can be a little tricky.

Actually, that viaMichelin site is great for finding places in Europe...as long as you have the modern name for it of course.


As for 'sdl.ladogasee' just google Ladoga and you'll realise where the area is. Remember that sdl. is the German abbreviation for Southern or 'South of' and See is the German for lake, so, South of Ladoga lake.
