    Info required on s.Pz.Jag.Abt.88

I am trying to find information on the schwere Panzerjager Abt. 88 which was formed in September 1943 and equiped with Nashorns. I know the unit fought with Army group centre until defeat but I would like to know if this unit had any Knights Cross holders and the names of leading officers. Also if anyone knows of any books relating to this unit (in English) or any book which may have a chapter or so pertaining to this unit. Thankyou in advance.

      Hi Denis,
Thanks for that information. It would seem not a lot is known about this unit (lack of response). I have also posed the same inquirey upon Feldgrau and so far no one has responded at all. I would have thought someone would know who the commanding officers were etc. Do you have anything further on the two Knights Cross winners? Thanks again.

          Hi Ian,
Thanks heaps for the info....thankfully I dont have any pictures to post. I am curious as to where you found this info? I have been unable to find much on the net and I dont know of any books that deal with the independant schwere Panzerjager Abteilungen exept for the books on 653 and 654. If you know of any I would appreciate the info as I am trying to research (for my satisfaction only) these units. Many thanks again.

This is all I have to hand at the moment as I am not at home, however the info is taken from Orginisationsgeschichte or the CD version of Tessin and Die Ordensträger der deutschen Wehrmacht.

Both are available for around €90.

I might have some more info at home on this unit but not sure...not gonna be home until Friday at the earliest.
