    more researcher/historian than collector ?

Just curious if anyone here is more into research/historian aspects than just collecting ? Always looking to exchange data.

    Mark C. Yerger

Looking for photos and documents relating to any SS/Police German Cross in Gold holders for my series with Bender Publishing

I guess i'd fit into that bracket Mark, being a docs collector it kinda goes with the territory. Or rather vice versa, the research\history led to researchable docs collecting.
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

      Hello Mark,

You might add me to that list Currently working on a database of "all" Flemish Waffen-SS Volunteers. Just passed 2000 individuals. Still a work in progress though... As far as I know there's no similar resource available on the internet yet so goal is to make this available to interested historians/genealogists (If anyone is more computerminded then I am and is interested in hosting this info on his/her website... please let me know...)
      cheers from Belgium

Solely research. The only thing I collect is information.

No regard other KOS volumes, the data that would have been in them is with vols 1 and 2 of "German Cross in Gold Holders of the SS and Police"

I guess I now fit that bracket also. After years of collecting predominantly Waffen-SS uniforms and insignia, I am now slowly parting with some hard earned pieces from over the years, due mainly to the ludricous prices being quoted by dealers. Now the emphasis is definatly on Ritterkreuztrager of all branches of the Wehrmacht.

                Regards Richard.
Always looking for Luftwaffe Kampfflieger related document groups. In particular anything to Kampfgeschwader 2.

I too consider myself a researcher rather than a collector. But it is difficult not to say you are both. I collect paper items (documents, photos and death cards) to provide substance to my research. Looking ofrward to your next book Mark.

                  Cheers

Any particular areas/services of interest for everyone ? My main interest is SS, but have hundreds of volumes covering other topics including (but not limited to), KC holders, Generals, aircraft (most nations), US and Japanese aces, German Army units, civil/paramilitary groups and personalities. Always looking to exchange info, find needed book copies, document copies, etc. Regards KC holders (aside from Waffen-SS) always had a great interest in Stuka related KC holders, Army Generals and senior staff, finally E-Boat winners though study all holders.
