Hello again everyone, I have a very good conditioned m40 army helmet with a name and number written inside on the liner. Its clearly ledgible and reads EWERS 20269. I guess this is the soldiers name but was wondering if this would be a service number or something along those lines for him or would this be a 5 digit feldpost number. If so, could anybodytell me what unit this was from. Thanks in advance and thanks to Ian our moderator for his ID on my last fledpost number question.
