    Info on Oblt. Franz Buchner

Does anyone have a complete listing of Knights Cross winners? I am trying to find out any biographical information I can on Oberleutnant Franz Buchner. I don't know much about Buchner, not even what branch of service he was in, but he was awarded the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross on 2 October 1941. He may have gone on to a higher rank.

    Anybody?

A quick look in "Die Träger des Ritterkreuzes":

Franz Buchner. RK Awarded 2.10.1941 as Oberleutnant und Kompanie Chef 5/Infanterie Regiment 30 (mot.).
    Killed in action 27.11.1941.

Inf.Rgt. 30 was part of 18 Infanterie Division under 16 Armee fighting around Minsk and Wolchow at that time....

        Thanks! Very helpful.

In my dreams I have a complete library with all the information I could possibly want. When I wake up, I face reality and surf the web.
