I wonder if someone can help me? I am doing some research on the SSFM organisation and have the book belonging to one Arthur Mauterer from Dortmund.
I have a hunch that many SSFM members were wealthy industrialists and party members who were 'obliged' to support this organisation created to raise funds for the SS.
Whilst running some searches on the name, I came across an Arthur Mauterer who won a non-combatant award in 1944.
It does not seem a common name and wondered if it was one and the same chap.
Can anybody out there help or give me some pointers on where I should look to try and find any more information
Many thanks in advance
Raymond
