    Biological and Gas Warfare schools?

I am looking for some information on the following "schools"

Hoehere Technische Lehranstalt der Heeresgasschule Celle and
    Heeresgasschutzschule Beamten- und Schirrm- Lehrgang.

A relative was a Doctor of Chemistry and the Deutshe Dienststelle informs me he was in these "units" I have not be able to find out what they were or what they did. Can the experts here offer any help?

the last entry on his Dienstelle is as follows:

    Letze meldung: 20.09.44
    Zeit: Kommando

then a series of dates and Marine units

Does anyone know what this could mean?

Information on the school is a bit sketchy and difficult to find. I believe the chemical defense units were part of the Nebelwerfertruppen, as they wore the same color Waffenfarbe, He is a short biographie of General, that ran the school, in the time period you are interested in:

Thanks for the great info Jan! Did the book show any pictures of the officers from the school?

Cannot tell you that from memory , I borrowed it to a friend that lives far away from me . The list above I taook from my files .

Once I had something interesting & very rare in my hand , a typewrited Manuscript called "Die Geschichte der Nebelwerferschule Celle" . But the man who found this book during cleaning up an old flat recogniszed whats the matter and rhe price for selling it rose about 200 % within 5 sec.

Later I asked a former officer of the Nebeltruppe if it would be possible to get this manuscript ...

          Only 250 pieces exist

Jan, it would be nice if someone could use the manuscript to print a history of the school. A trunk full of militaria, from General Tzschoeckell, was auctioned off on the German eBay a couple of years ago. I was fortunate enough to obtain a pair of his General's
collar tabs and colonel's shoulder boards from the lot.
It would be nice if I could find a picture of him.

Here are the boards from a summer style tunic. He was a fortunate man; he left Werfer Rgt. 53 in Oct. 1942. This was while the unit was at Stalingrad!
