    sutterlin diary

Hello, I have just received a very nice diary to an unteroffizier in Libya.
It looks like to me he was a Panzer commander.
The diary is completely filled out, every day of the year 1942.
As far as these things go, this is the best one I have ever seen.

Is there anyone who can read handwritten WW2 sutterlin ?
Would they like to help me translate this man's service, day by day ?
It will be like opening a window on history.

    Thank you for any help.

      OK thank you kindly,
here is a sample of the entries.
The entries become a lot more interesting as it moves through the battle dates.
I have confirmed his unit from his feldpost number. He is from 1./Panzer Regiment 8, 15th Panzer Division. He served from the very start of the campaign right through the last in Tunisia.
I can make out numerous entries regarding panzer combat.
Can anyone read these entries and be willing to help me translate the rest of it ?
      Thanks.

"January 1st ..... Uffz vom Dienst kein ...." means: Sergant of the Duty (watch) no ...
But i will try to help you, even when he has a bad handwriting!
          Sincerly
