1. Dezember 1943.- April 1944:
Generalleutnant Wolfgang von Kluge. Kluge received the Ritterkreuz on 29.8.43 as commander of the 292. ID.

April 1944 - 10. Mai 1944
Generalmajor Knut Eberding. Eberding was awarded the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on 14.2.42 as Oberstleutnant and regimental commander of IR 53.

10. May -12. September 1944
Generalmajor Norbert Holm commanded the division from 10.5.44 to 16.9.44. Holm received the Ritterkreuz on 20.12.41 as Oberst and regimental commander of IR 156.

12.September 1944 - März 1945
Generalleutnant Josef Rintelen. Rintelen was awarded the Ritterkreuz on 5.8.40 as Oberstleutnant and commander of I./IR 478.

März - Mai 1945
Oberst Walter Krüger commanded the division from April 1945 until its surrender to the Americans in Austria. Krüger was awarded the Ritterkreuz on 27.8.1943 as Oberstleutnant and commander of Pz.Gren.Rgt.71.

Up to at least "Kiehl" (lucky me) have been published in Podzun's generals' biographies volumes. I only have the navy and air force triple volumes, not the ongoing multi-volume army ones.
