    I am doing some research for a friend about there great grandfather who was fought for germany in WWII she says. His name is Paul gartner, can anyone help me?

      Is the Deutsche Dienststelle (WASt) only for the people who died in the Wehrmacht? Or is it also good for research on people who did not die during WWII?

        To rephrase your question, you are asking if the WASt would give info on Wehrmacht members who survived, not just those who died - correct?

        BTW, check out the tips at the top of the forum for researching Wehrmacht members. You may find your answer there.
