Reading KIA records

Hopefully a simple question but I’m having trouble googling the answer: What is the meaning of this field on KIA records, and specifically what does this one mean?

It's dog tag data:

"Erk.-M." = "Erkennungsmarke" [ID tag], followed by the tag's number.

Below that is the issuing unit, in this case "16./SS-D" for the 16th company of SS-Standarte/-Regiment "Deutschland".
