I have a question about Jäger' Sleeve patch..
The 3rd Battalion of the 17th Infantry Regiment has the name of the Jäger Battalion.


1. Did these units use the Jäger, Oberjäger in the rank of the Award Document?

2. Did these units wear a Jäger sleeve patch despite being an infantry?

3. In this case, did the unit use the organization of the Jäger Company even though it was an infantry company?

Taking an example where i do know the answer for certain, III (jäger)./ Gren.Rgt.341 of the 270 Inf.Div. the answer is yes, they did have the Jäger insignia.
