    Hi Christopher, hope this helps? On "40251" I have only the basic info. So I can't give you the details on the sub unit with the letter D. I am sure someone will help you with this?

                Hi Christopher,

                Very nice Wehrpaß....what is the guys name? I have the unit history books for Pz.Rgt. 5.

                According to the Feldpostübersicht, FP Nr. 40251 was not used for Panzer Lehr Regiment until 21.1.1944. From 19.2.1944 it was used for Stab II and elements of Panzer-Lehr-Regiment.

                From 21.1.1944 7 Kompanie would then have been 32358 D, however from 19.2.1944 it would have been 40251 D.

                      Unfortunately the humble Obergefreiter is not mentioned in the books, however there is a lengthy write up of the events of 10.6.1944!
