    Family Name Help

    Does anybody know of an De Boer in the Heer, Luftwaffe, SS or Kriegsmarine?

    Is there anyway to see if there is?

    Hello Rolf.
    The 1944/45 Rangliste des Deutschen Heeres lists two by that name:
    1. Gen.Lt. Johannes de Boer, who died 14.Mar.1986 in his 89th year. He was awarded the Knights Cross and the German Cross i.Gold.
    2. Maj. de Boer, no first name given, his arm of service was with the engineers.
    I have no ready information on any officers by that name serving in the L.W. , K.M. or Waffen-SS.

        Hello Rolf.
        As indicated I consulted the 1944/45 Rangliste des Heeres, in addition the Biblio series on German Army Generals as well as the Fellgiebel reference book on Knightscross recipients.
        I have meanwhile checked the L.W. Rangliste as well as the K.M.Rangliste both of 1944/45 period without finding another officer by the name of de Boer.

            Hello Rolf.
            I am unaware of a general source to track down enlisted personnel.
            Should you have a particular person in mind the Volksbund Deutscher Kriegsgraeber Fuersorge could be consulted or the Wast.

                    Hello Rolf.
                    The Biblio issue containing Gen.J.de Boer does not show a picture of him, the division history of the 22.Inf.Div. unfortunately has no pictures at all.
