Greetings all, first post
I am a Waffen SS researcher and am particularly interested in Erwin Meierdrees, the commander of the 1st battalion of the Totenkopf panzerregiment. I have several books, but am interested in buying more to find more pictures and tidbits about this fascinating officer.
I have:
Mark Yerger's 2 volumes on Totenkopf (vol 1 has several pictures and quite a bit information on Meierdrees)
Soldaten Kampfer Kameraden Vol 3a which has a couple of pictures and some references
Karl Ullrich's Like a Cliff in the Ocean, (the translated version) which has some references and a description of his death
Michael Wood's Totenkopf Tigers which also briefly describes his death.
His lebenslauf from the German archives which give us some personal details and a letter written by his own hand.
Can anyone advise me what other books have pictures//text about him?
Which volumes of Soldaten Kampfer Kameraden have the most references to him?
Perhaps Charles Trang's work on Totenkopf, or the picture companion book?
Perhaps a small book in French by Heimdall about the 3rd SS Panzer regiment?
The Bild Teil of the original, German Wie ein Fell in das Meer?
Thanks so much for taking the time to read or reply!
Kindest Regards, Kon
