Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge

I have the opportunity to buy this Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge (Luftwaffe Erdkampfabzeichen). I need help verifying that is is an original. I mainly collect Police insignia so I have never owned one of these. Any thoughts? These are the only two photos that I have. There appears to be some rust on front and back.

looks like a nice late war Wallpach ground assault badge.
Yours in a good condition, most examples are pale and have no finish left.
