Does this Pilot’s Badge look ok. It seems to have some damage to the rear.
            Thanks,

The badge is faintly marked for Jimme on the reverse.
              Thanks,

                Hello Pete,

Yes its a good JMME J3 eagle J2 wreath. Nothing wrong with it a part from the scratch on the reverse. Can't say what it is or when it was done. Look like saw mark??

                  Hi Pete,

As the guys have said, the first one you show is a fake, but the 2nd one is a nice original JMME using Juncker parts but constructed by JMME. Nice example.

If you are getting into Pilot Badges, I can only recommend Seb's book to you, hands down the best money you will invest in this hobby before you attempt to purchase another Pilot Badge:

                    Hi Seb and Tom,
Thanks very much for your opinions and advice. If I decide to collect this type of badge in number, then I would certainly think that buying Seb’s book was a very good idea.
For some reason this thread is not displaying all the images on my iPad, in fact it is only displaying 1. Are there any issues with the website?
                    Thanks,
                    Peter

As a matter of interest, I have been looking at Pilot’s Badges, Observer Badges and pilot/Observer badges, and cannot tell the difference between them. Are there any clear differences between these?
                      Thanks,
                      Peter

                        Hi Peter,

Pilot Badges have black eagle and silver wreath. Pilot Observers have silver eagles with gold wreath. Observer badges are a completely different design with different eagle so that is easy to tell the difference

Thanks very much for the information. You can see that I am a complete newbie to these badges.
