        I agree with Thomas. Rivets are not what we see every day. But in the original, just like here. The "center point of the hammer" is always in the center of the hole in the wreath.

                  Not sure what you are referring to here Larry? I see the fingerprint on this badge.
                  Looking for a 30 '06 Chauchat magazine.

                    The circular pattern on the backside of the bird is indeed a fingerprint of genuine GWL badges. I think Larry is referring to the lacking maker mark and the interrupted circle.

                      Actually, I'm getting old and simply couldn't see the pattern. I managed to blow up the photo and there it was, so no issues for me. Sorry for any confusion.
