I am in talks with the owner of this badge and expressed that I wanted to post this example and just get an opinion of it before completing any deal! This badge was reviewed previously over a decade ago on this forum. Just wanted to make sure everyone felt it was a good quality period made example. It is a Luft Bronze Recon Clasp made by S&L. How uncommon are they and is this without a doubt a period produced piece. Any additional info on the badge would be appreciated!

Well it’s an S&L clasp and we can’t say for sure if they are wartime. They were most likely around at the end of the war based on the postwar souvenirs boards so they were most likely produced late in the war but weren’t awarded by the end. The reverse hardware setup on yours is considered wartime compatible so another good sign for yours. So it’s either late war or early postwar production by S&L.
