      Absolut perfect and beautiful Abschussbecher.

These original NJG cups rarely appear in the market and as already written every mug has its own story.

      Congrats

For thise unknown to the histoy, These small silver killcups represent a single victory (sometimes 10,25 "kills") and where awarded privatly to Nightfighter pilots. As I understand it, they where bought by the pilots and presented to there co-pilot who just scored as a gift, which was used to celebrate (drink)

              Hope you enjoy !

              Thanks,

              Chris

So we are clear pilots also collected these cups, not just gifts to other crew members. I have an interesting cup with a first kill that the pilot presented to his Luftwaffeherferinnen. Also a signed copy of a book that he gave her along with the cup. It was to reward her for her contribution in guiding him to his target. Who actually paid for them is probably a little mixed. Another cup came from a high ranking general presented down to the squadron. A mixed bag for sure. But rare...

                    ...and a new book.

This kill was contested by Flak. Becomes a "shared" kill. And that's OK! 10% of all kills were shared. This kill was contested because the kill was coned by searchlights. More than one battery and more than one unit of searchlights. That poor guy was drenched in light. Had to be a horrible feeling. Then the flak is directed your way and Fleischmann adds to the fire.

The Fleischmann cup represents 100% of his cups which is pretty cool. He ended up taking down a B17, no easy task. Must have been assigned to day fighting which killed so many of these pilots.

KIA 24/25 December, 1944 at Langebach, near Marienwald/Westerwald, probably by a Mosquito (Boiten). One known victory, a Stirling west of Kiel on 13 October, 1942, an Ofw at the time. A 2nd, a B-17 by Salcioara on 5 April, 1944.
