    Junker Para Badge

Gents, I have attached photos of a Luft Para Junker badge that I believe is an early one. According to the family, he served in Holland, Crete, Russia ( Leningrad area I think) and finally Italy. I have some documents to get translated. Will provide more info when I get that done. In the meantime, I value your comments. Rich

    Hi Rich,

No doubts a nice original Juncker, and the timeframe certainly seems correct (although I would have expected an earlier thin-wreath variant for a Holland jumper to be honest).

Everything looks textbook Juncker, but the catch might be replaced; have a good look in the area to see if you notice any signs of an old catch location. The location of the catch is correct for Juncker and the material of it looks generally OK, just a little thicker than we expect to see so just check to see if it might have signs of new solder under it.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
