    Assmann Observer

Out of my Flak case thread, I was able to acquire through one of our members this beautiful "scratched" cased Assmann Observer. I had to go for it due to its condition. For your enjoyment, and my bragging rights.

These strikes are totally legit and are found on many many badge from all design from earlier to later tombak badge. Zinc also have them but its more uncomon. Its part of the making process when remove the excess of metal or finishing the reverse before spraying the finish.

Here two of mine that have these. Early A2 thin and on the ROAG's Bolts.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thank you guys. I appreciate the comparison pics. I have seen the scratched A previously, just not the indentation.

Excellent set! These scratches are common for early Assmann observers but still cause questions for me - too rough for finishing imo...

And that exactly is what made me take the leap.
