    It is an origim Assmann, the state is wasted, and the hinge is not origimal.IMO

        What is your opinion on whether it was a wartime replacement?

        Also what timeline does this one fit as far as Assmann variations.

            No way of knowing when it was repaired, the lead solder has no patina but then again neither does the rest of the badge.

              I can only agree, its a fine original Assmann but with replaced catch and impossible to know when that repair was done.
