Luftwaffe Rescue Badge Question...

I recently came across this badge being sold in a lot of other random badges that all looked to be ok. First time I've ever seen it. Is it legit? If so, how rare are these in the collecting community?

Authorized the end of November, 1944. Cool badge design, would have been nice, Klietmann shows one in his book, and says, it's postwar piece. So not exactly fantasy, but never minted wartime.

Thanks Seb, I took a look at the listed resource material on the forum and I must say I might be at 1% Haven't even started Luftwaffe yet. I will not forget that one.
