    Hi
This is not a "textbook badge" which can be found in the Thomas book. But at Asmann we can see many varieties. IMO original Cast Wreath Marked "1" who had a hard life.

Looks like an original badge that's had a rough time

In the left side, back, looks like it has some signs soldering of "gold", on the crown there appear to be four rings other than those that hold the eagle, and generally shows me a prize that has received interventions...

Personally I would walk away from this badge. It's had a really hard life and late war assmann para badges are quite common in far better condition for around the money you are talking about. Have a look at dealers websites like weitze or militaria Berlin to see what's on offer.

I also agree that this badge has probably been refinished.

Its an original Assmann, but with new gold finish on the eagle.

A later war, refinished badge is not worth 450 euros IMO.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Posting more pics won't really make any difference. The badge has probably been coloured in with one of those 'gold' pens you can get in arts and craft stores. Besides the front of the eagles head looks like it was sanded off.

This one is similar and nicer to the one you posted but slightly more expensive or look on E-stand. These badges arnt scarce
