Seeking opinions on observer case

Hi gents,

I've come across what looks like a case for an early thin wreath observer badge but I have some concerns, in particular the patchwork nature of the exterior above the hinge but perhaps this is normal.

I'd welcome your opinions.

Could you post more detailed images of the case? A lot of woodwork in your images where the camera has focused and the case is slightly blurry. I take it you are worried it’s a lattice fake.

Sorry I forgot to apologise for the quality of the images, they are all I have as they were downloaded from the internet and yes my concern is that it's a lattice fake.

Thanks Seb, would you ever encounter a J2 observer in one of those cases?

Yes, I have an Observer grouping with J2 badge that come with this case. The earliest J2 share this early case also.
