    Fellow 'Fanatics',

The time has finally come. After 40 years of collecting, it is time to 'move on'. Over the next month or so, I will be selling my cherished Luft Badges. I feel it prudent to have the badges given a 'once over', here on the Forum. That way, prospective new owners can see what the collective community is saying.

For the time being, I am keeping my entire Juncker and GWL sets. For today, I appreciate comments on the badges I am posting.

As Always, Thanks and Best Regards,
    Mark

      Hi Mark
PB has probably re-polished obverse, but it is still a nice original

        Hi Jacek,

I appreciate your comments. I don't think the obverse has been polished. (I could be wrong?) It is very reflective and hard to photograph. There are polished highlights such as the tops of the wings, the swaz, the edges of the wreath, and the upper edges of the leave's outlines in the wreath. When I photograph in natural daylight, I try to avoid excessive shadows and still provide equal illumination to all parts of the badge. This is a shiny badge, I won't disagree with that!

Here is another picture I just took. Not sure if I 'captured' the obverse any better.

        Regards,
        Mark

          Hi Mark
Maybe you're right, I do not want to say anything bad. Photo in a natural light it's easier to evaluate. The photo always distorts the color, it depends on the background color, light, camera matrix

                Both very nice originals Mark.

I also don't think its polished, more like natural wear to the highlights.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
