Thank you all for participating in my question below,
My question regarding pendants of 1200 was directly at Jagdflieger only. I failed to mention in my question that my question related to short range Jagdflieger's, as that is the award shown at the start of this thread.
Thank you Ludwig for the info on Hartmann, I have not any books on Hartmann, only the Obermaier book, obermaier's wording was on over 800 missions he achieved 352 victories, so i assumed he did fly past 800 sorties.
I did a internet search and several comments of 1404 sorties by hartmann.
So Perhaps the info may not be quite accurate in some cases for the Jagdflieger who were 700 flights and upwards in Obermaiers book. Which is interesting considering the early writing of the book and depth of information and access to the veterans.
Thank you Jacek for the link. The numbers over 1000 shown pertain to non short range flights, but to multiple aircrew from one aircraft and combined sorties of a gruppe ect.
Jacek, I am not sure what the Martin Drews reference is to?. Could be because
I mentioned that I in observed in the Obermaier book that Pilots transferred other types of aircraft, being mostly transport, bombers, ect. And that the combined flights went towards them total tally of flights, which I assume allowed them to obtain high numbered pendants in the short range frontflugspange.?
I remember that is another thread where discussion was based around the very high number spange and pendants. were they actual issues in the case of Jagdfliegers
Listed here is Obmaiers info on guys with approximate 700 Jadgflieger flights upwards. I have not included any date of war time deaths.

Hello Waterloo,
Yes I think so to, In all likelihood, very few short range frontflugspange with pendants were issued based on the amount of pilots I listed below.
I think if Hartmann completed 1400 missions and others were achieving 700 upwards, then the government would be asked the 1 or 2 manufacturers to make the 800 upwards pendants, with the thoughts a few people might achieve 800 and over.? Of course the government could never guess how many 500 guys would go on to higher numbers, without being killed or end of the war came.
So only a few may have been awarded, and in reality, a very very small batch would have made manufactured, less than 100 I was guess, if i was the government placing the order with a manufacturer, (and only one manufacture would be needed), knowing that there are not many guys alive who would be likely to go on to the 1200 upwards.
Kind regards

Gentleman,
The badge has arrived to me safely from Patrick, and I would like to highly commend Patrick to you all, as I have several phone conversations with him and found him delightful to speak with.
I was super impressed with the lengths that he went to to ensure the package was secure and any likelihood of postal damage was greatly reduced.
So I would highly recommend Patrick, based on this recently transaction.
Thank you very much Patrick.
