A very sad week for us all I think. Tim was a very good guy, funny as hell. I remembered we played air gitar together in the "gentlemens club" while he was teaching me how to shout (singing he called it). Looks like Tom was recording it One never had a quiet moment when Tim was with you, in contrary, in most of the cases you were on the floor laughing with his dry humor.

The photos in the beginning of the thread will always stay in my favorites. Unfortunately there are no road pictures of us all together in the Belgian/Australian/ Texan/Dutch/Italian/German car that night! We'll never forget you my dear friend!

You'll not rest in peace, you'll keep on rocking us for ever and ever!

A few weeks before Tim's passing, he gave me access to his username and profile. he wanted me to able to log in and view his contributions to this forum. i am especially fond of the thread containing his trips to Germany - great pictures, informative and best of all, funny as hell!
I've known him since i was 5 years old and consider him my best friend. Tim often sent me pictures and ideas to 'photoshop' for him since i am skilled in that area. here's a couple examples (below)

If any of you have pictures of Tim, (love the ones posted here) his sister and I are compiling them for a slideshow video and would love to get copies.
          thanks,

Tim was a master of the perfect badges and related items photo. No doubt.

                    But...

He spent many many many hours with me photographing badges and 'stuff' to get the right shot. And he was not a guy who accepted anything less than perfect.

So I really like the idea of a closed thread, I like that we get all the Tim photos we can into it, but I don't like that it begins and ends with Tim. I can't speak for him but I have a feeling he wouldn't want it to end with him.

Someone, a moderator could judge a photo after the Tim photos were assembled that should also be included. I don't mean mine. Hell lock me out of the competition please...

I can't imagine not having Tim to talk to about a badge, someone else's badge, something for sale... But it needs to continue.

Close it down for a few months, get Tim's photos, get them in, but allow others to add to it and continue the 'Tim Tradition', please. He loved other people's photos when they were well done (and not shy to say WTH...).

So sad to read such news! I spoke to him about a Pilot badge just a month ago... Sadly I wasn't able to meet him personally. Great idea to rename the luft thread in his honor!
