Is It me or are Observer ...

badges more difficult to come by than most other badges , sure you can pay $1500 for one but I don't ever see any around the $500 - $800 mark , or is it just me? Rob

Every aircraft had a pilot, every multi-engine aircraft had one, two or more gunners but only larger aircraft had one observer. Therefore it is just a mathematical fact that there were fewer observers than either pilots or gunners.

    Best wishes

They're not that rare, a zink badge should cost no more than 800 and maybe even a Buntmetal Assmann can be found for that amount.., better not to look at places where people are constantly dealing and the same badges are changing hands day by day..result will be triple price, far from realistic..

I don't have the feeling they are less available than other badges.
If you have some patience you will find the badge you desire easily
for a decent price. The zinc badges should be available anytime for the price you mention. For the more rare and early variations it can take a lot more time and extra $$$

But if you want the Bentley of Observers like the D1 cased or J1 CEJ cased you'll have to spend a lot of money. Seriously, averaging zinc to calculate an average price

Too bad I did not know you were looking for one. I just sold 2 early Junker Observer badges in NS. JME

                            6 is a bit low , I guess, unless it's a grey zinker..
Prices are ridiculous though, but that's what community made of it and clearly wants these days.
For many the orgasm is connected to the price, rather than the object, so what can you do..?
Nevertheless, the design of the Beo is cool..
I've a couple, one a early Juncker, very decent priced that moment and then the madness started .. So, no more badges for me anymore, they aren't worth the worth any think and hope they're worth.. we can make them 10.000.- , it's just a piece of iron and they keep popping up..
                            The hype ..still not over..

                            Jos.
