    Wearing Bomberclasp upside down

    Hi

I found this picture of Stuka Ace Kurt Kuhlmey.
He seem so wear his bomber clasp upside down.

Was this matter common between Stuka pilots or was it jus a "bad" Monday

You can find more than one photo of clasps (both Luftwaffe and Heer!) being worn up side down. If I recall correctly, I have seen even the OLs to the KC being worn that way!

Great picture Andy, thank for showing.

I found many pics of Heer CCCs being worn upside down, and can only wonder if this was a simple mistake or something more to it then that.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Wasn´t their a tradition on early nightfighters to wear the dayfighter clasp upside down before the institution of the official nightfighter clasp?

Long range fighters wore the short range clasp upside down before their own clasp was created; this may be ground attack wearing the bomber clasp upside down for the same reason.

          Best wishes
