Right Facing Pith Helmet Eagle

Sirs,

As the title indicates, I've recently picked up this metal Luftwaffe eagle. Based on what I've looked at since acquiring it, I believe it may be a genuine Left-Facing Pith Helmet Eagle. I don't know heaps about these, but they are somewhat rare are they not?

I'd welcome some opinions on this. Note that it is missing one of the rear prongs unfortunately.

Sorry, I put "right" instead of "left" in the thread title. Don't know why I was thinking that when the eagle is sitting right here on my desk. I tried to correct the title but the "edit" option didn't work.

Nothing rare in this, just unlike a uniform or cap. The eagle on Pith Helmet looks to the left

Thank you. When trying to identify this, I narrowed it down to being a Pith Helmet Eagle based on some pics I found on a dealer site. That dealer's item description stated that these eagles are "rare." However, I suppose everything a dealer has for sale is always rare and anything you want to sell him is always common as dirt and he has 30 of them in his desk drawer right now!

Nice pith eagle, even if not very rare. I believe there is someone on WAF that repairs missing prongs, though the cost may be more than the bird is worth.
