Erinnerungsmedaille der Reserve-Flak-Scheinwerfer-Abteilung 269
The Unit was stationed on the Island of Sylt during the course of the Western campaign to Dunkirk, where it remained until the end of 1942.
In the spring of 1943, the Unit was relocated to northern Germany, where it was set up by the end of the year.
Around November 1943, the Commander of the Unit, Major of the Reserve Holtfort, had the medal produced in Bremen and presented it to all members of the Unit as a Christmas present on December 24, 1943.
The costs of production were paid by the surplus of the canteen fund.
The medal was carried on a kind of watch fob.
The ribbon here is not the attachment that was originally with the medal.
