NFSK pilots badge need your opinion

Hi i've got this one from a military auction on the net. Not sure what to think of it??? Real? Fake? Copy?

Although it appears at first sight to be OK, I think that there are a couple of things wrong with this badge. The hinge is not the same as we normally find and the details do not appear to be good.

One of the clues are Icarus's toes which should be well defined. Are they?

Also, what are the measurements and weight?

I have my doubts about this badge.

Maybe you could post them twice as big as the last one, helps a lot.

Look at the detail of the toes on this original and compare with your own badge.

I think you will find a difference.

It looks to be artificially aged & as Stan stated the detail is soft on the Icarus & the hinge isn't the same as on known originals. The measurements would tell the story IMHO it is one of the better repros. Also Stan your badge is a very nice one .

I do believe this one is a recast example due to the following reasons. The closer you look the more it looks bad JMHO.
