    GB Flak Badge

Guys, I recently mad a fairly decent score, but I'm going to have to sell a lot of it in order to keep the things I want. I'd like to confirm the following items are okay before I put them on the Estand.

    G.B Flak

        Seb,
I did look at the example in the database and noticed it had a different catch plate. My issue is that if you look at the photo, the same solder residue exists around the hinge and on the eagle's wings where it was soldered on. Before I put this on the Estand I'd like to be certain what I have. Was the style catch plate shown in the database the only style G.B Used?

Larry as far i am concerned Brehmer use 2 type of catches on their zinc flak, One have the ''?'' catch and the second their typical ''C'' catch both on a large round catch plate.

The catch on your badge is 100% original Larry,

it is the type that "GB" used on their 25 & 50 silver/ bronze PAB's.

Not often seen used on their zinc Flak badges but the odd one seems to have had this type of catch applied at the factory before May 1945.

Here is a link http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...8&highlight=GB and a couple of images of moderator Allan P's superb/ rare 50 PAB by GB to show a beyond question badge by this maker with that style of catch,

            Chris

p.s. the funny thing is that my GB 50 PAB from a KC holders estate has a GB Flak badge ''C'' catch on a large round base plate like Sebastian has shown in post number 5. Just goes to show, they used what they had at the time to keep production going

I must say that the catch looks very convincing and not replaced IMO.
