    .FLL first period badge

Hi guys, this is a pilot badge from a Spanish lieutenant.. What is the manufacturing material? The eagle is not zinc, but neither does the crown appear to be zinc.

    regards

FLL May have a sufficient stock of tombak to last to the beginning of 1944, but the withdrawal of copper for medal use was ordered by Speer in March 1942.

Copper had far more strategic use in ammunition’s and weaponry than in Luftwaffe medals.

True... Fll and Gwl produced or distributed awards in tombak till late in the war. Both from lüdenscheid.. seems they still had access to quality materials for producing awards.
