    Aufklärungs Clasp Bronze

I've previously posted about my stupidity in selling a cased Bronze Aufklarungs Clasp (Juncker) I had bought in 1989. Returning to the hobby recently one of my first priorities has been to replace that clasp, but I was wary because I realise that there are even more fakes around today. With that outlook the problem becomes that you are too cautious, delay committing to a purchase and continually loose opportunities to others who are more decisive. But I've had a saving grace - Sebastien - and I couldn't be more grateful to him for his help in guiding me to the clasp and case (bought separately) shown in the attached photographs. By the way, my 1989 purchase came at a cost of just 31% of what I've had to pay in 2017!

I'd also like to thank for their friendly and swift sales service Przemek (www.war-military.com/) and John Telesmanich (www.germanwarbooty.com)

      Very nice Davy.

I know that feeling of wishing I had held on to a few pieces I have let go over the years!

      Best wishes

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thanks for the approving comments Seb, Tom and Tim. I have always thought the recon the most charismatic of the Luftwaffe clasps aesthetically. Bit of a paradox, since the operational function was not the most 'glamorous' - really the fighter clasps should perhaps have had a more engaging design?
