Cased GB Flak Badge

Hello,
Getting this reviewed for a buddy of mine who's had it for many years and has no provenance to go with it. To me, the case looks good but I think the interior base has been replaced with a newer one as the cardboard looks new and the cutting of it is not very precise. For the badge, I'm on the fence as these are not my specialty. I can't tell if it's a cast copy or the deterioration of the finish has made the details look so soft. Unfortunately I only had a few minutes to look it over and snap some quick photos under a desk lamp, but hopefully these will suffice for you to give an opinion.

The case is a good purple variant for ball hinge but the inlet is not original to the case but from a brehmer one. So coming with a good zincer brehmer flak imo they were pair somewhere in time.
