This is a set up I haven't seen on a LGAB. The eagle also looks strange, as does the pin's hinge and catch. I'm not saying it's fake, but doing a quick forum search, looking at the few pieces I own, I'm not a fan of this one.

Thanks for your opinion, I liked this one I thought this looked like a good example, hopefully it turns out to be real... it's for sale from a dealer but I wanted some opinions to confirm it as good

It appears to be the late war, one-piece, injection-molded type by Arno Wallpach of Salzburg. I'm seeing a good number of features that I like to see on this type of badge, but these have been heavily faked so you need to be very careful. Insure that the badge is zinc and the weight should be somewhere between 30 and 34 grams. The overall dimensions are important too as the cast fakes of these will typically measure smaller than an original by .5 mm or more in each dimension.

          Best regards,
          Tom

I like the rought edges and the pin mark on that one but like Tom mentionned they are fake very well. Take dimension and weight and close up of the hardware.

Here are dimensions for an original badge (battlefield pickup) that was taken by my uncle in 1945 near Pilsen.

Thanks guys, I haven't had the badge in front of me as the dealers shop is very far from me but I shall email him and ask for dimensions and the weight.. so it's very hard to tell with this late war made particular badge without the info you asked for?
