    photo of FFS Transportflieger case

    Hi Guys

I'm looking for a picture of the case / etui for Frontflugspange für Transportflieger - cannot find any on the Forum or internet - are there known examples?

This is just for my personal reference - if any Member has a pic / photo that they would be willing to share (with / without watermark), it would be appreciated if the photo could be posted to this thread or sent by PM / email.

    Thanks - Kind Regards
    Ian

      Hello Ian

There is no case for transport clasp. I think they were awarded in packets. I attached a packet from the database and it is the only one i am aware of. Its a Orth packet for transport in Silver.... somewhere it should have bronze and gold etc.... ive been trying to locate at least one for my collection but no luck yet.

I too have never seen a Transporter case, only packets like Seb shows. I believe I have seen Osang packets too for the Transporter.

Rene is a big packet collector, hopefully can tell us more.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

99,9% of all Luftwaffe-claps-CASES have inscriptions as follows:

              - Frontflugspange für Kampfflieger
              - Frontflugspange für Jäger
              - Frontflugspange für Aufklärer

No transporters, no nightfighters, no air-to-ground fighters....

              Best, Peter

p.s. Once I've seen 2 cases without ANY inscription.

I have seen packets for the silver, gold and gold with pendant transport clasp. Maker marked FFL and GB. Indeed never a case.

I have a couple of packets for transport clasps. What I find intriguing about them is that we have not associated the clasps with the maker marks on the packets. And no - they are not Juncker or Osang. That is a new frontier. So far we haven't seen many packets with the clasps that were awarded with them. So the packets may lead our forensic scientist to make taxonomic associations in time. I expect a few surprises.
