Luftwaffe Pilot's Lot: Opinions and Assessments Requested

That was a somewhat rude response.

First, I will reiterate that did not purchase these items. I mentioned this in a previous post. A best practice for me is to read completely through posts before criticizing, lest I insert my foot into my mouth.

Second, like I have mentioned before I am not an expert on these items. Although I could probably get an item-by-item ball park on these if I surveyed internet sites, I would really prefer not to break up these items, since the recently deceased is dear to my family. Therefore, I came to the forum community to draw on their collective wisdom and experience in order to get an idea of how much the grouping would be worth, if kept together. Frankly, I don't want to sell, but my spouse is more interested in its market worth than me... If it is not worth all that much, then she will not pressure me to let go of it.

Like I've said, I am not a major collector, although I have been a member of the forum for a number years (collecting DAK items). And I haven't been on here in a while, but from what I remember, the community used to be much more genial. I suppose the anonymity of the internet has left manners by the wayside.

Later followed by a request for prices together or if collection is broken up with an indication in the later post that you had no idea what it was you "acquired". You are now changing your story.

As a very rough value to the badges and medals as an unattributed and not researched group, somewhere between 1500-2000€.
Your photos are somewhat poor and I'm not sure if both clasps are bronze or maybe silver and bronze (more likely) reverse shots required.. I would also assume that the civil long service and WW1 badge are not part of the group per se and more likely belonged to a relative (father).

All fine originals for me as well, nicely worn with some great patina. I think MB's price range is a good estimate IMO.

I think if the collection is in the 1500-2000 euro range, my spouse will not quibble with me retaining it for my collection.

As for the provenance, these come from a distant family member who recently passed...
