    Pilot badge B&NL

    Hi guys,
I would like to get some comments on this poor pictures. The seller claims this is a 100% original piece, and I think it also looks like one. He sais it's a Berg and Nolte. I will try to get better pictures for editing in this thread . These were the best I could get at the moment...
    Thanks!

      Hi Neil,

That was also the first thing that hitted me, the big beak, but when I was searching the forum for a same example the B&NL badges also had a larger-than-normal beak, so I thought, wy don't give it a try.
But thank you very much for the good warning

      Kind regards,

        Hello Giel,

I agree with Neil. That badge is not correct for Berg & Nolte. Eagle and wreath are both way off. In addition, that large and long cutout area between the eagle's talons is a sure sign of a bogus Pilot Badge. No original Pilot Badge will have a cutout area like that.

        Best regards! Tom

I also agree, it is the damned FUGLY eagle on a dipped wreath.

Yep, that's FUGGIN FUGLY allright!!! FUG!!! Slap the seller for me please.

Some early unmarked Assmann pilot's and P/O's do have a similar cut out between the legs.....don't run from one like this!

Here on the left is an early Assmann pilot with the cutout, but marked on the wreath in the manner of their P/Os, your unmarked one sure looks good.

                Hi Colin,

Yeah, I don't have any concerns about my unmarked badge....maybe I didn't make myself clear. It's getting late and I'm a little bit retarded. Here it is with an "A" marked cousin.
                Thanks!

Tim, great badges, I never had concern over your badge either, sorry, was just showing another Assmann cut out, but marked.
                  Cheers
                  Colin

Thanks for the great replies, I'm almost ashame that I posted this ugly thing. Tim and Colin, those are just outstanding pilot badges!
Gebirgsjager77, every time that I will see a pilot badge like this again, I will think at your bird, and throw it away
                        Kind regards,

I'll never look at my badge the same way again.
