    Opinions on J3 p/o

I'm looking for some input on this piece. I like it, unfortunately the rivets are repaired/hammered/broken. But the obverse of the badge looks really good.

    What do you think?

    Hello Rik,

Its a refinished pilot to me, the gold pin, hinge and catch is a big red flag. But is still a Good J3 with messed rivets.

I agree with Seb on this, taken out of each other to refinish both parts and to make it like a PO. Devalued by 90%

            Hi Rik,

I don't like the gold finish at all, and agree with the others that is refinished.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Who does something like that? And so badly.

I have to agree with the others. Some loser took a perfectly good and perfectly original J-3 pilot badge, and did a hack job of taking it apart and refinishing it to look like a PO. They failed miserably, devaluing a nice badge in the process.
Too bad what some fools do with pieces of history.

It sucks, I cannot understand it. So much irreversible damage done.

I cancelled the deal with the seller but I'm sure this one will pop up again on the forum one day.
