    Air Gunner Badge With Lightning

    Hi Guys,
As you know this is not really my field, could you please have a look at the following and let me know what you think. I have put a question mark against this one, the cleaness of the cast and the way in which it is assembled are the first two.
    Thanks in advance

      Hi Simon,

Run away from this one - bent pins in the place of rivets are a bad sign, as are many other things on this. Intersting that the catch is missing - possibly would have indicated a pre-60ish Souval repro.

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

I agree with Mike, not original. Interesting though that both eagle and wreath are based on an original late war design. So either a casting or a reproduction using old tools.
          Cheers, Frank

I think badge was being sold on ebay and they yanked it. He offered it too me and said that others were in the bidding too (I guess trying to boost the price) I ran away from it for the aforementioned reasons.
