Another one bites the dust: Deumer ROAG

    Hello gentlemen,
We're having such nice riding weather up here that its not really conducive to taking medal pictures but I think this new addition (thanks to Thomas) was worth the effort. A nice Deumer (Deumer parts) nickel-silver ROAG that flew in all the way from Sweden to keep company to my lonely Deumer pilot!

    Best regards,

    JC

          Thanks Jef.
Well, so far they seem to be doing great together... Its not like the ROAG wants to pack its bags and go back to "mother" or something!

As far as the Observer is concerned, I know there are at least 2 Deumer Observers on the eStand now but I'll take a rain cheque on that one. I'm just a small collector looking for nice variations and, as far as I know Deumer (D2) Observers (like Deumer POs) were all made from Juncker dies/parts and I already have the Juncker version so a true Deumer para would be more up my alley to complete this set

          Best regards

          JC

Terrific early example of a badge that ended up being made prolifically by Deumer later in the war in zinc. But you have a nice (and rare) early war example.
                Congrats,
                JJS

Thank you very much for the additional insignt JJS. I have indeed seen quite a few zink versions of the Deumer ROAG and even a few other NS ones for sale as well over the past few years but it always eluded me until now but I finally got lucky!

                      Regards

You got me there Brian! I should have been more specific...

Deumer did in fact produce their own version (from their own dies) of the Observer badge that was different from its Juncker counterpart for the first type (D1/J1) badges but not for the second type. Nice J1 & D1 Observer badges Brian, attached is a picture of mine

Very nice examples Jean Claude !. It 's true that in the 2nd model Obsv. Deumer only uses Juncker matrix .
