    J2 Aluminum PO

    Hello Guys,

Another addition I received today. I want to show you this very rare J2 PO in aluminum. This one is in mint condition with the pin still blackened. Looking at it you can notice its a mix between a J1 and a J2 eagle head. The body is quite different as well but the wreath is a typical J2 Wreath. The reverse is a textbook Juncker aluminum rivets and MM.

Hope you like it as much as I do. Now i am looking for a case

    Seb

          Thanks Jacek,

Your J2 is awesome. Here's my combo side by side with my mint J2 PB alu. You can see the body are quite different and details in the wings also..

As you say, very rare and in that condition and unrepaired even more so. All great examples. Is it a thin wreath? It looks like it is. Great addition.

                      Hi Seb,

Now THAT is a gorgeous badge. Amazing condition, especially for a fragile aluminum badge like this. Beauty.

Strange obverse design though?! Don't recall ever seeing anything like it on a Juncker badge, what do you chalk that up to? Does it look like a sloppy strike, or are we possibly looking at a rare and unique Juncker eagle here? The reverse hardware setup and rivets are classic Juncker, but where did this eagle come from?

                      Tom
If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thanks guys, i appreciated your comments.

Tom, as far im concern it is a completely different design compare to the j2. It as the same j2 wreath but the eagle is different completely. The 2 others i have in file are identical. The head have j1 style but the body is different from both. The wings details is also quite different as well. I think we can say its a transitionnal and they didnt made for a very long period.

Yeah seb, like i told you before... the bird is very unique.
It's not J1, it's not J2. It's a mixture of both.. looks like an experimental Juncker bird. It has features of both designs. Take a look at the claws, the very right one, that's a typical j1 feature. Also when staring the eagle head, i'm scratching my head. Looks like a combination of both designs. Crazy, i have never seen that before.
That is truly a magnificent catch, especially in that fantastic condition.
