    I am hoping someone could supply more information on this fellow and his unit.

                        Great grouping you have there. Pokals with award certificates and photos are my favourite thing! Add the Flugbuch and the research that is possible becomes endless.

                        Your man is listed in Patzwall's book on the Pokal as a Bordschütze, which you already know. Interestingly Patzwall shows his rank as Oberleutnant but I think this is just an error.

                        He is not listed in Scherzer's book on the German Cross in Gold so probably did not get this award.

                        If you know his unit, he may be referred to in the unit history (if there is one published). I could not guess the unit from the images shown but maybe LG1 or KG54?

                        He does not show up in a German War Graves search but sadly that does not necessarily mean he survived the war.
