Silver Fighter Clasp Opinion

Hello People,
I'm looking for this Clasp. I have only one Bronze Fighter Clasp in my hands, then, I don't have knowledge about this type of item...
Is it a good?

Hi William,

This is an S&L clasp and is questionable whether these were made and awarded during the war or not. As far as I know, none of these S&L clasps have ever been found directly from vets or identified in wartime photos. They also aren't found ground dug.

However, they do show up on the postwar Souvenier boards put together to sell to GIs as souveniers after the war, alledgedly from wartime leftovers. So its possible they were made during the war, but maybe not awarded.

I think all we can say at this point with the current knowledge is this clasp is "wartime compatible" based on the base metal, finish and reverse hardware setup. But whether it is a true wartime clasp or postwar S&L creation cannot be said at this point.
