Interesting piece, the bullion looks correct for officers, but the eagle pattern is the one used in the cotton thread pattern for NCO's and other ranks. How does the size match up with your medal one. They should be the same size. Also is the bullion aluminum or silver. The early variations were of silver then switched to aluminum in 1937. I have only seen two examples of this in cloth both different in the officers pattern, in eithier case the eagles doesn't match. In your example the eagles beak and the position of the body relative to the head appear to be to defined for period pieces. Looks like a mixing of the NCO pattern and the officers pattern. Just my observations

        Unfortunately it's a copy,not even worth the $ 35.- IMO.

It could have been a more expensive lesson. I don't know much about Luftwaffe cloth insignia.

A reproduction in my opinion. Truly lacks definition that originals display in all respects.
              Best regards,

                Frank,
I am interested by the story about a "Tannenberg" cuff title.

                        Well Frank,

The story you have mentionned (original German base cloth) is saddly true, and not only for LW cuffbands ....
1 month ago, I was forwarded a pic of a cufftitle "Tannenberg" like the one you have described - I also thought it was a copy

Paul W. and I are in the process of putting together an article on LW cufftitlles (flying units) and I can tell you that all variations/versions of "Tannenberg" cufftitle are not known yet
